What if your signature style wasn’t something you had to buy—but something you uncovered within yourself, refined, and claimed as your own?
Welcome to your 7-Day Signature Style Challenge. This short, soulful experiment in self-expression requires zero spending. Just grab a notebook (or use your Notes app), find a mirror, and set aside a few minutes each day.
This isn’t dress-up. It’s a design process—with intention. It’s not about trends; it’s about you. Your rhythm, your quirks, your past, and your future. Each day presents a fresh prompt to reflect, explore, and try.
Getting Started: How It Works
Set aside 10 minutes each day.
Use the daily prompt to reflect, sketch, write, or even snap a photo.
Let it all flow—this is for you, not your followers (unless you want to share!).
DAY 1: What Do You Always Reach For?
Look at your closet and ask yourself:
"If I had to live with just 5 pieces from here, what would I choose—and why?"
These could be clothing items, accessories, or shoes. Be honest—no fantasy ball gowns unless you actually wear them to the grocery store.
Now, write down your top five. Then, ask:
What do these items say about me?
What do they have in common? (Fabric? Fit? Mood?)
How do they make me feel when I wear them?
Name the vibe these pieces give off:
For example:
"Cozy Command": Oversized knits, structured joggers, sleek sneakers, and a great coat. You prioritize comfort but never look sloppy.
"Urban Sage": Monochrome pieces, natural fibers, and clean lines. You look like you teach philosophy at a café.
"Dreamy Nomad": Soft layers, flowing textures, artisanal jewelry, and earthy tones. You might be on your way to a poetry reading.
"Low-Key Icon": Vintage denim, a crisp white tee, and a killer pair of sunglasses. You don’t try—you are.
"Gallery Wanderer": Asymmetrical cuts, moody tones, and sculptural accessories. You dress like you just left a modern art exhibit.
Try this tip:
Once you've named your vibe, go back to your closet. Do other pieces align with it? If they don’t, you’ve identified why you skip over them.
This isn’t about minimalism—it’s about clarity. When you know your core five, you start dressing with direction. You begin curating, not just collecting.
DAY 2: What If Your Style Had a Soundtrack?
"What songs, albums, or moods would play during your getting-ready montage?"
Are you all Stevie Nicks in a linen haze, twirling barefoot? Or do you walk tall, exuding the precision of a Hans Zimmer score with structured lines?
We gravitate toward certain genres for a reason. Whether it’s the raw poetry of acoustic folk, the boldness of pop, or the elegance of classical strings—there’s a sound that feels like home to you. Think of your favorite music as a compass. It reveals your energy, pace, and the presence you want to bring into a room.
Be honest. You might love a good rock anthem, but is that the energy you want every day? Consider the vibe that reflects who you are most of the time. Then commit to styling from that space.
Sure, there will be days you want to remix things—and that’s okay. But anchoring your aesthetic in a consistent “sound” gives your style strength and clarity. Your style should feel like you on repeat.

DAY 3: What Your Childhood Closet Reveals...
"What did 8-year-old you love to wear? What textures or colors made you feel invincible?"
Was it a glittery tutu paired with rain boots? A superhero cape you wore to the grocery store? A hoodie three sizes too big that felt like armor? Or perhaps, a pair of red sneakers that made you feel like you could fly.
Kids don’t dress to impress—they dress to feel. Reconnecting with your uninhibited taste gives you real style clues.
Try This:
List 3 things you loved wearing as a kid.
Write down what textures and colors made you feel free.
Find the grown-up version:
What would 8-year-old you want you to wear today?
Loved sparkles? Try metallic accessories or shoes that glint.
Obsessed with princess dresses? Think flowy midi skirts.
Lived in your brother’s hand-me-downs? Try oversized tailoring.
Loved twirling skirts? Look for flowy fabrics.
A walk down memory lane matters. Your childhood style holds unfiltered data about what made you feel like you. Reconnect with that, and your current style will feel more honest.
DAY 4: What Your Compliment Audit Reveals...
"What do people always compliment you on? What do they never notice?"
You might not need anyone’s approval, but compliments provide valuable data.
Think back—what do people tend to notice right away about you? Is it your bold lipstick? Your unique rings? The way you layer clothes?
And just as important, what goes unseen? What are you spending time on that no one ever acknowledges?
This is about awareness, not approval. Write down:
3 compliments you often receive.
2 things you wish people noticed more.
What stands out about how I dress, according to someone close to you? (You might be surprised.)
Your audit should guide you to style with intention. Reclaim bits of sparkle you may have forgotten.
DAY 5: What Do Borrowed Eyes See?
Ask someone close to you: “What would you dress me in if you had full control for a day?”
This exercise is fun and eye-opening.
Sometimes, we see ourselves through an outdated lens. But others can see different angles we may miss.
You might hear:
“Something bright! You always wear neutrals.”
“A sleek pantsuit. You should own your quiet power.”
“Something playful. You’re more fun than your clothes let on.”
You’re not obligated to take their suggestions literally. Instead, see yourself through borrowed eyes.
Try This:
Let them sketch it, moodboard it, or pull items from their own closet for you to try.
Note how it made you feel—not just how it looked.
Ask: What do they see in me that I’ve been downplaying?
Uncover parts of yourself you may have forgotten.
DAY 6: What Your Style Should Do for You
“How to make your look work with you, not against you.”
Today is about matching form with function. Signature style isn’t just about aesthetics; it’s about what works for your life.
Ask yourself:
What do I spend most of my time doing?
Do I need to move fast, feel comfortable, command attention?
What parts of my wardrobe frustrate me?
Your clothes should follow your flow—not fight it.
Do This:
List your top 3 daily activities.
Write one line for each: What does my outfit need to do in this moment?
Match an item or look that would support you in those moments.
For Examples:
"Creative Commuter": Comfortable sneakers and layered neutrals.
"Power Floater": Fluid jumpsuit and statement earrings.
"Low-Key Luxe": Cozy knits and elevated basics.
Signature style = aesthetics + reality. Let yours do both.
DAY 7: Your Personal Mantra
“If your wardrobe had a voice, what would it say in one unforgettable sentence?”
After this week, you’ve reflected, noticed patterns, and explored motion. Now it's time to distill it all into a defining line.
Review your writings. Notice patterns, colors, and words you often repeat. That’s your signature style whispering. Listen closely.
Think of your style sentence as your wardrobe's mission statement. It should evoke a feeling and direction. If you got dressed in the dark, would you still hit this vibe?
This is your style sentence—your personal mantra capturing the energy, purpose, and vibe of how you want to show up.
Do This:
Flip through your notes from the week.
What themes keep showing up?
Now, write one sentence that brings it together.
For Example:
“I dress like a wandering artist.”
“Soft layers, sharp edges, and stories in every stitch.”
“Bold comfort meets grounded elegance.”
This lens can guide you when shopping, editing, or experimenting. If it doesn’t serve your sentence, it likely doesn’t serve your style.
By now, you’ve uncovered more than just clothes—you’ve found a new way to express who you are.
Signature style isn’t found in stores; it’s remembered, reclaimed, and reimagined.
So, take this challenge seriously. Trust your instincts and let your style reflect who you are becoming. Your signature look is already within you—now you just need to uncover it.
✨ By the end of the challenge, was there something eye-opening for you? Did it shift how you view yourself or what you wear? Leave a comment—we’d love to hear.✨
